The Quagsire stop, right outside Kochi Station. Tosa Terrace is the prefecture's tourist information center inside Kōchi Tabi Hiroba, the plaza a minute from the ticket gates — and it's where Kochi's Pokémon campaign is concentrated. There's a Quagsire photo spot, a Quagsire-themed vending machine, and a Poké Lid (a Pokémon-decorated utility hole cover) showing Quagsire alongside Goldeen. (Instagram)

Why Quagsire. In November 2024 the prefecture appointed Quagsire — Nuoh () in Japanese — its Kochi Support Pokémon, , under Pokémon Local Acts, the same program that pairs Slowpoke with Kagawa and Exeggutor with Miyazaki. Kochi has the highest forest cover of any prefecture in Japan, and those forests feed the Shimanto and Niyodo Rivers — clear, unhurried water it's easy to picture a Quagsire drifting around in. (Pokémon Local Acts)

Poké Lids across the prefecture. Eighteen Poké Lids were installed around Kochi as of May 31, 2026, with the stated goal of eventually reaching all 34 municipalities. This one is by far the easiest to tick off — it's steps from the station. (Instagram, Pokémon Local Acts)

Then go next door. The souvenir shop in the same plaza, Tosaya, carries the Quagsire collaboration goods.
