**A-Too is Suruga-ya wearing a different sign.** One company, two brands — the Nipponbashi A-Too became [Suruga-ya's main Osaka building](https://questlogjapan.com/retro-games/surugaya-nipponbashi) in 2019 when the chain folded its shops into one name, but the Kinkaku-ji store kept the older one. It's out in Kita-ku near the temple rather than in central Kyoto, and open 11am to 9pm — which makes it an add-on to a Kinkaku-ji morning rather than a trip of its own.
